It was officially introduced in early 2023 in the United States. However, its expansion into Europe faced regulatory hurdles, primarily due to concerns about data privacy.
Meta AI was officially launched in Slovenia in March 2025, when Meta began rolling out its AI assistant in 41 European countries, including Slovenia.

Slovenia Included in Meta AI Availability
Slovenia is part of the list of countries where Meta AI is available. This means Slovenian users can take advantage of all the benefits this AI assistant offers, such as help with content creation, information searching, and receiving recommendations, all directly in their favorite apps. However, functionalities like image creation or editing are not yet available.
How to Communicate with Meta AI?
Interacting with Meta AI is simple. It is available through chat windows on Meta platforms:
- Look for the blue circle icon, which marks access to Meta AI on Instagram, Facebook, Messenger, or WhatsApp.
- When you click the icon, a chat window opens where you can start interacting with the artificial intelligence. A welcome message or an initial greeting from Meta AI will appear, inviting you to ask a question or choose from one of the suggested help options.
